PaddleShifterz PS UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Philipp-Reis-Straße 11, 83301 Traunreut, Germany
Managing Director: Szabolcs Sztanyi
E-mail: info@paddleshifterz.com
We have not appointed a data protection officer because we are not legally required to.
2. Overview
We process personal data only as far as needed to run this website and online shop, to process your orders, and, if you allow it, to measure and improve our marketing. Below we explain what data, why, on which legal basis, who receives it and how long we keep it.
Legal bases (GDPR = EU General Data Protection Regulation):
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: your consent
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: contract or steps before a contract (e.g. your order)
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: legal obligation (e.g. tax and commercial law)
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interests (e.g. secure and stable operation of the website)
- § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act): storing or reading information on your device needs your consent (§ 25(1)) unless it is strictly necessary for the service you requested (§ 25(2)).
3. Visiting the website
Hosting. Our website is hosted by Kinsta Inc. (USA) on Google Cloud infrastructure at the data center: Frankfurt (DE). When you visit, your browser sends technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. The server stores this in log files to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted after 30 days. We have a data processing agreement with Kinsta.
Cloudflare. Traffic is routed through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which protects the site against attacks and bots and delivers content faster. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data and may set the strictly necessary cookie __cf_bm. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG.
Country detection. Our consent tool asks Cloudflare which country you are in, so it can show the right consent options. Only the country is stored, in the cookie fp_country. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG.
Fonts and search. Fonts are served from our own server; no data goes to Google Fonts. The product search runs on our own server.
4. Shop, orders and customer account
Orders. To process your order we need your name, billing and shipping address, e-mail address, phone number (for the carrier), the products ordered and payment details. If you enter a VAT number, we check it with the EU VIES system. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for the VAT check.
Customer account. If you create an account, we store your login data and order history until you delete the account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Shopping cart. WooCommerce uses strictly necessary cookies to keep your cart and session (see section 6). Legal basis: § 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Prices by country. We show prices and VAT for your country. Your selected country is stored in a strictly necessary cookie.
Invoices and e-mails. Order confirmations, invoices and shipping notices are sent from our Google Workspace mailbox (Google Ireland Ltd.). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Contact form and e-mail. If you contact us, we use your details to answer you. Form messages are stored in our website database. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about orders, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Recipients
We share data only where needed:

| PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg) | PayPal payments | Name, address, e-mail, order data |

| Kinsta und Cloudflare | Hosting and security | See section 3 |
| Tax adviser and authorities | Legal obligations | Invoices, order data |
Payment providers and Klarna act partly as independent controllers. Their own privacy notices apply.
6. Cookies, consent and analytics
We use the consent tool WP Full Picture (runs on our own server). On your first visit you choose which categories you allow: statistics, personalisation, marketing. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Consent preferences” in the footer. Your choice and an anonymous consent ID are stored for proof (Art. 7(1) GDPR).
Strictly necessary (no consent needed, § 25(2) TDDDG):
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
fp_cookie | this site | Stores your consent choice | 6 months |
cdb_id | this site | Anonymous ID of your consent record (proof of consent) | 12 months |
fp_iframes_consent | this site | Remembers which embedded videos you chose to load | 6 months |
fp_country | this site | Country for consent options | 14 days |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot protection | 30 minutes |
woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_* | this site | Cart and session | Session / 2 days |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | this site | Login to your account | Session / 14 days |
sbjs_* | this site | Records how you arrived at the shop (e.g. search, link) and stores it with your order | Session |
Statistics (consent): Google Analytics 4. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA). We measure page views, product views, cart and purchase events to improve the shop. Your IP address is not stored by Google Analytics 4. If you are logged in, an internal user ID is sent so visits across devices can be combined. Some events are sent from our server instead of your browser, and only after you consent. Cookies: _ga, _ga_* (up to 2 years); helper cookies of our consent tool fp_ga_ids, fp_current_session, fp_recent_sessions, fp_woo_cart (set only with statistics consent): fp_current_session 30 minutes, fp_recent_sessions 30 days, fp_woo_cart 90 days, fp_ga_ids session. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG.
Before you make a choice, Google’s script is loaded with all storage set to “denied”. It then sends anonymous signals without cookies, which Google uses to estimate visitor numbers.
Marketing (consent): Meta Pixel and Conversions API. Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms Inc. (USA). We measure which visits and purchases come from Facebook and Instagram and can show you relevant ads there. If you consent, we also send hashed (encrypted) e-mail address and phone number to Meta so it can match the event to your Meta account (“advanced matching”), partly from our server. Cookies: _fbp, _fbc (90 days), fp_uuid (up to 1 year). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG. Meta and we are joint controllers for collecting the data (Art. 26 GDPR). Meta’s addendum: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum
Google reCAPTCHA To protect our contact, product inquiry and withdrawal forms against spam and abuse, we use Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). reCAPTCHA checks whether a form entry comes from a human or an automated program. For this, it processes your IP address, information about your browser and device, and how you interact with the page, and sends this data to Google. Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in protecting our website from spam and abuse). More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy und https://policies.google.com/terms.
Videos (YouTube). Videos are only loaded after you click “Load content”. Then YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may set cookies. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
7. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (Google, Meta, Cloudflare, Kinsta, PayPal) are based in or transfer data to the USA. These companies are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023). Where that does not apply, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are used.
8. How long we keep data
- Orders, invoices and accounting records: 10 years as required by German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).
- Customer accounts: until you delete the account; order data then as above.
- Contact requests: deleted when the matter is finished, at the latest after 2 years, unless retention is required by law.
- Analytics data in Google Analytics: 14 months.
- Consent records (sent daily by e-mail to our mailbox as proof of consent): 3 years.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification (Art. 16)
- erasure (Art. 17)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)); use “Consent preferences” in the footer
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Where we process data based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds. You can object to direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.
To exercise your rights, e-mail info@paddleshifterz.com.
10. Is providing data required?
You only need to provide the data required to conclude and fulfil the contract (marked as required in checkout). Without it we cannot process your order. Everything else is voluntary.
11. No automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions or profile you in a way that has legal effects on you. Klarna may run its own credit check for Klarna payments.
12. Changes
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
