Aramid ist ein hochwertiger Faserverbundwerkstoff, der in Aussehen und Verarbeitung der Kohlefaser sehr ähnlich ist. Im Gegensatz zu Carbon sind die daraus hergestellten Bauteile elektromagnetisch durchlässig.
