Both finishes are a direct fit for the F82 M4 and use the same mounting points as the factory paddles. Carbon fiber is lighter and gives a more textured, motorsport-inspired grip. Aluminum is more affordable and offers a colder, more substantial feel under the fingers. Neither changes the shifting mechanism itself — you’re only replacing the paddle surface.
