The frameless vehicle interior mirror has an integrated universal remote control. It is self-learning and allows the opening and closing of, for example, garage and property doors from the vehicle.

The system is compatible with almost all garage and property doors, replacing up to three separate remote controls. As an additional feature, this interior mirror is automatically dimming. It is also compatible with the anti-theft warning system.

The interior mirror can only be installed in conjunction with one of the following special equipment:

• dimmable interior and exterior mirrors (SA 430)
• dimming interior mirror (SA 431)

For the high-beam assistant option (SA 5AC), the additional installation requirements can be found in the EPC.

Execution of the functional test

• Make the vehicle operational.
• First commissioning: Press and hold the two outer buttons on the interior mirror simultaneously for about 10 seconds until the LED on the interior mirror flashes green quickly. All programming of the buttons on the interior mirror will be deleted.
• Press the button to be programmed on the interior mirror. The LED on the interior mirror is slowly flashing orange.
• Hold the handheld transmitter of the system to be operated with a distance of approx. 2.5 to 30 cm to the buttons on the interior mirror. The required distance depends on the handheld transmitter.
• Press and hold the buttons of the desired function on the handheld transmitter.
