Which paddle shifters fit my car?

Fitment follows the steering wheel generation, not the model name. Find your car below, then pick the material.

Not sure which steering wheel you have? Use the vehicle selector above or ask us.

Aluminum, carbon fiber or magnetic?

  • Aluminum: CNC-machined 6061 aluminum in anodized silver (matches BMW's silver trim), gloss red or Velvet Blue.
  • Full carbon fiber: hollow pre-preg carbon with no plastic core, shaped from a 3D scan of the factory wheel.
  • Modular carbon fiber: carbon plates on an aluminum housing. The plates can be swapped, and the set can be upgraded with our magnetic kit for a sharper click and shorter throw.
  • Genuine BMW M Performance: the factory carbon paddles BMW fits to the M3 and M4, in gloss or matte carbon.

Ships from Germany worldwide, with 14-day returns.

Paddle shifter FAQ

¿Qué es levas de cambio?

Paddle shifters, also called shift paddles, are levers on the steering wheel or steering column that let you change gears yourself in a car with an automatic or dual-clutch transmission. The right paddle shifts up, the left paddle shifts down, and both hands stay on the wheel. They're common on performance cars and increasingly found in everyday models.

¿Cómo funciona levas de cambio?

A standard paddle shifter has three or four parts: the paddle you pull, a counterpart screwed to the steering wheel, a plastic or metal shaft that lets the paddle pivot, and a small circuit board that registers each pull and tells the transmission to shift. Springs or rubber elements return the paddle to its resting position. Magnetic paddle shifters use small neodymium magnets instead, which gives a more defined click.

How do you use paddle shifters?

Pull the right paddle to shift up and the left paddle to shift down. They're most useful in manual or sport mode, where you choose when the car changes gear.

How do you install them?

Our sets replace the factory paddles one-to-one, with no extra parts, glue or screws. The step-by-step videos are in our paddle shifter install guide.

What are paddle shifters made of?

Factory paddles are usually plastic-backed. Aftermarket paddles are mostly aluminum, which can be anodized, painted or powder coated, or carbon fiber, which is stiff, light and has its own distinctive finish. We prefer carbon fiber for its rigidity and look, and offer aluminum for a cleaner OEM+ style.
