I purchased this for my 2021 x5 45e. I was never happy with the original shifter as the plastic material on the back of the shifter had a seam in it which I felt every time I put the car in gear and it felt cheap.
I LOVE this unit (I purchased the alcantara version). It took about five minutes to install (just make sure you have the right torx driver, and a automotive trim kit is probably best to gently pry off the plastic back from the original shifter).
The shifter includes the necessary pieces in case you have a right-hand drive vehicle and looks like a fairly easy swap.
The end result is an OEM shifter quality with a great feeling alcantara backing.
