Say goodbye to the fixed factory license plate brackets on your BMW or MINI. This magnetic license plate holder kit offers a clean, minimalist look while remaining strong and secure at any speed.

Instead of the large OEM plastic frame fixed with 2 screws – one on each side – our kit uses two magnetic mounts that install directly into the existing screw points on your trunk. The license plate itself attaches with pre-applied 3M 5952 double-sided tape, ensuring a solid hold while still allowing for quick removal when necessary.

Need to take photos or videos of your car? Simply pull off the license plate and you are ready to take some shots without having your plate in the photos.

Engineered for performance, the kit has been tested up to 300 km/h on the Autobahn and proven over 8,000 km in all conditions — from alpine passes to city driving. Each part is 3D printed from PETG-CF for strength, weather resistance, and durability.

• Q: Will the magnets hold at high speeds?
  • Yes. The system has been tested up to 300 km/h on the Autobahn and in various roads, remains secure in all weather conditions.
• Q: How do I attach the license plate to the mounts?
  • Each mount comes with pre-applied 3M 5952 double-sided tape. Simply press your plate onto the mounts for a secure fit. We recommend installing the license plate in a warm environment
• Q: How long do I need to wait after applying the 3M tape to my plate?
  • According to 3M, the tape reaches its final bonding potential after 72 hours at 20 Celsius temperature. At 20 Celsius, after 20 Minutes it reaches already 50%, after 1 hour 80%. The higher the temperature the quicker the bonding process. At 65 Celsius it reaches 100% after just one hour.
• Q: Can I still use the drive through car wash?
  • Yes, you can still go through and use the automatic car washing places.
• Q: Is this product OEM?
  • No, this is an aftermarket solution designed by PaddleShifterz. It replaces the plastic bracket with an easy to use magnetic system.
